In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing 'Lorna Morello' as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael has received her NIDA diploma. Yael was fortunate enough to be able from an early stage to be a part of the best storytellers and performers in Australia and pioneers working in the television, film and theatre fields. Yael has had a long and successful career working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael decided to make New York City her home after she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically acclaimed production. Yael is the co-founder The Cannery. The Cannery. It is located in The Cannery, a Bushwick Brooklyn studio The Cannery encourages new and artistic writings, and are a source of inspiration for new concepts.
