Many of the most tragic stories are hidden beneath a career that is dazzling. Lolo Jones, who is the champion of the USA and World hurdles, has earned this title after a long period working hard and a lot of patience. Jones was the only child in a family of five who lived living in poverty. Her mother was constantly shifting and even lived in the basement. Jones had to attend an entirely new high school every year due to her nomadic upbringing. When she attended Theodore Roosevelt High School, Jones lived apart from her mother to pursue her passion for the track and field events. Jones started her professional career in college as one the top hurdlers. Jones won the 100-meter challenge at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Also, she participated on the team finishing second for 100-meters relay. Jones has won indoor hurdles at the NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. Brandt moved from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the end of her teens. After being discovered by local casting directors, Brandt assumed the character as Naevia on the Starz smashes Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Lesley-Ann Brandt is a South African actress, born in Cape Town, South Africa on the 2nd of December, 1981. She's a very talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt, along with her whole family, moved from the United States to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. Her first job was working in Auckland as a retail store owner after which she was made an IT management consultant. Lesley's professional career started with couple of model projects. Then she appeared in many commercial ads. Her graduation was with a degree in acting in the year 2008. In 2009 she began training in Meisner Methods of Study. The first time she was seen on screen in New Zealand was as a TV actor in Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street, as a visitor supporting character. In the following season, she was in the sci-fi action thriller This Is Not My Life, based on anecdotal Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teen hostage. She was later depicted her character in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
